Kombucha Workshop:
Brew Your Own Living Tea
Discover the art of brewing your own kombucha in this fun, hands-on workshop. You’ll learn the step-by-step process of making kombucha at home, from brewing to flavouring to bottling — and go home with everything you need to get started, including your own SCOBY starter culture.

We’ll explore variations to suit your taste and lifestyle, such as:

Unlocking endless possibilities for flavouring, limited only by your imagination
Whether you’re brand new to fermentation or looking to expand your skills, this workshop will give you the confidence and inspiration to create delicious, healthful kombucha in your own kitchen.

Refreshments and snacks will be served during the workshop and Twisted Roots Farm will offer a Goat Walk with participants after the workshop for those interested in learning more about the farm!
About Your Instructor

Dave Maybee has been brewing, aging, and experimenting with ferments for nearly two decades. From kombucha and kraut to long-aged misos, shoyu, and creative koji projects, his passion is bringing ancient fermentation traditions into modern kitchens. As founder of Maybee Ferments, Dave shares both the practical skills and the creative joy of working with living foods — helping others discover how simple, delicious, and rewarding fermentation can be.
Date & Cost
This workshop will take place at Twisted Roots Farm in the Butterfly Lodge on Saturday, September 20th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Cost is $60/ person​​​

Registration
To register, please send an email to info@twistedrootsfarm.ca. Once we have confirmed your seat, an invoice will be sent to you via email which can be paid by e-transfer or online by debit or credit card. Your spot in the workshop will not be secured until payment has been received.

For cancellations, we must receive a cancellation request 7 days prior to the workshop date. We will refund the cost of the workshop, minus a 10% administrative fee. You may also transfer your seat to someone else, just inform us of the change.

If we have to cancel the workshop, participants will receive a full refund.
