Fire cider is a popular herbal preparation that is simple to make, easy to use, and can be quite delicious! In this workshop we'll taste, smell, and discuss some common herbs for including in fire cider, each prepare our own to take home, and learn about how & when we can lean on this herbal preparation as we move in to cold & flu season.

Fire cider is an apple cider vinegar-based herbal immune support preparation that is simple to make, easy to use, and can be quite delicious, though spicy! It keeps well in dark, cool places (like your fridge!) for months, meaning you can make one batch that will last your family through fall and winter. Many common cooking herbs and spices can be used in fire cider including onion, garlic, thyme, sage, horseradish, and hot peppers.

Bring your own cutting board, knife, and 500 mL jar. Herbs and vinegar provided, but if you have any herbs at home that you'd like to bring, please do!

Refreshments and snacks will be served during the workshop and Twisted Roots Farm will offer a Goat Walk with participants after the workshop for those interested in learning more about the farm!
